Health has been the study of many medical professionals from time after time. It has been the main topic among people with ailments and disabilities. It is the families’ focus as to giving their children a brighter future ahead. Health is optimum being of a person where in a person is in between a continuum which has an illness on one side and wellness on the other. With health, one can identify if one is sick or if one is healthy. For example, having a fever is one way of distinguishing that a person’s metabolic capacity or rate is heightened because of continuing needs of the body for energy. Once this happens, the body raises its vital signs- temperature, respiratory rate, pulse rate, blood pressure and pain. Because of that, one is considered to be sick and certain interventions are made by the doctor following procedures such as assessment, diagnosis, planning, interventions and evaluation. With this the doctor has to administer certain techniques such as your IPPA- inspection, percussion- palpation and auscultation. Certain tests are also made depending on the impending level of sickness such as you blood testing and your chest radiography.
Health is considered vital to people around us. Messing up health may lead to certain diseases that all of us would not want because of expenses. It is therefore, best that one should take care of their health.
Eating is a way of nourishing the body with the needed nutrients and minerals. It is best to eat at least 3 meals a day and at least 2 snacks. Whenever your tummy grumbles, that is usually the signal wherein your body needs glucose. Glucose is a simple sugar found in the food we eat. Every food we eat has essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals that would help the body work. Some might say that why not eat just when you are hungry. Actually, eating even when you are not hungry would not go to waste. The body usually stores the glucose in food as glycogen. That is why some might feel full even though it is already meal time. The person, for that matter, has ingested much during the previous meal that instead of utilizing glucose, the body stores the glucose for later use.
Exercise is another way of maintaining a healthy body. Through exercise, one perspires. Perspiration is, in other words, sweating. In your sweat, some unwanted chemicals that are in your body are evaporated through sweat. So in simpler terms, sweating would mean evaporating from your excess chemicals that aren’t needed by the body. Furthermore, it is also suggested that a person drinks eight glass of water a day. Through this, the boy is replenished and is given the needed electrolytes replacing those that were used in perspiration, no wonder most of us thirsts for water when we exercise. The body needs these electrolytes to keep the body going and to prevent it from drying, in other words. Perspiration is also another way of releasing your body heat. Heat will go along with your sweat. It is thereby advisable for those who experience fever to sweat in order to lower down the body heat. Because of this, it is also best for these persons to drink lots and lots of water.
People nowadays could not avoid being sick or ill. For example, if you met a car accident head on, you are not expected to avoid such. So by that, people of the medical field have offered hospitals and clinics to help those in need for their health to be checked and for those who seek medical attention. It is in this facility where the doctor performs the necessary interventions to help clients. In the process, as soon as the doctor has concluded of the illness that the person is experiencing, medications are then prescribed. These medications are a product of technology helping an individual to maintain his or her homeostasis. Homeostasis is the state of the body in which all its functioning entities are at work and the body is at its equilibrium state. During this state, the person is healthy. Medications have helped human beings survive this world and have contributed to prolonging the man’s stay in this world.
Health should be taken care of. It is best if you start on doing something about your health. It is time that the world should be health conscious. Let the people know that health is important.
